Data collection
Barcode Inspector does not collect, store, sell, or transmit personal information, scanned barcode contents, imported images, camera images, diagnostic records, or usage analytics to the developer.
Camera and photo access
The app requests camera access so it can scan barcodes and may request photo-library access when you choose to import an image. Camera frames and selected images are processed on your device for the requested scan. They are not uploaded to the developer.
Barcode results and sharing
Decoded results are created locally on your device. When you tap Share Results, the app prepares a plain-text report and displays the standard iOS share sheet. Nothing is sent until you choose a destination.
Once you choose Mail, Messages, AirDrop, a chat application, cloud storage, or another service, that service receives and handles the information according to its own privacy policy. Review the destination and recipients before sharing sensitive data.
Purchases
Optional in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. The developer does not receive your full payment-card or banking information. Apple may provide purchase status needed to unlock or restore the feature. Apple’s handling of purchase information is governed by Apple’s privacy policy and terms.
Local app data
The app may store limited settings and feature state on your device, such as IMb scan allowance and purchase-unlock status. This information supports app operation and is not transmitted to the developer.
Accounts, advertising, and tracking
Barcode Inspector does not require a user account. It does not contain third-party advertising and does not use cross-app tracking.
Children’s privacy
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app’s features or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
